SMB College Group offers apprenticeships and T-Level collaboration opportunities targeted at many industries and trades. This includes Bricklaying, Carpentry, Automotive, Forklift Engineering, HGV Engineering, Farming and Land-based, Agricultural Engineering, Professional Construction and more.
Specifically for the automotive industry, SMB College Group is offering exciting new courses for industry professionals to upskill in Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, and Hydrogen Fuel Cell for MHD.
All occupational areas can benefit from the college’s Distance Learning offering, through which employees can achieve free Level 2 qualifications in a range of areas, from Mental Health Awareness to Data Protection, Business Improvement Techniques, Team Leading and more (conditions apply).
Key facilities and capabilities
With three campuses situated across Leicestershire, SMB College Group has a rich and diverse subject offering, with excellent facilities and workshops to match.
Stephenson Campus has offered trade and technical qualifications for over 100 years, and continues to offer a range of subjects, from Engineering to Construction, Building Services to Hair and Beauty. The campus is home to industry-standard workshops where learners can benefit from the latest equipment and facilities for trade, technical and service industry qualifications.
Melton Campus is the home of the college’s IGNITE Performing Arts Academy, nurturing the talents of the next generation of Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre professionals. This includes a 340-seat commercial venue, Melton Theatre, in addition to a range of state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance spaces.
Brooksby Campus is a stunning 850-acre estate in the Leicestershire countryside. Having thrived as a Land-based college since the end of WW2, Brooksby also now offers Sport, Uniform Services, Beauty, Creative Media and Early Years. The campus benefits from a working arable and livestock farm, large Animal Care and Equine facilities, a £3.6million Sports Centre and excellent facilities for Creative Media and Beauty Therapy.
