Melton Vale College

Melton Vale (MV16) is an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated sixth form college with around 520 students on roll.

It is committed to nurturing ambitious, capable young people through specialist A-level teaching and a range of extra-curricular activities.

The college offers 25 different A-level subjects and four complementary vocational subjects.

Industry specialisms

MV16 equips students aged 16-19 through rigorous academic and vocational programmes designed by subject specialists in a purpose-built environment.

Its excellent teaching, strong enrichment and personal development culture means students are ready to engage positively with industry.

Employers should engage with the college because it provides a pipeline of articulate, motivated young people, primed for higher apprenticeships. It also encourages welcome partnerships that bring real-world relevance and work-based experience into the college.

It also offers students who are keen to go onto employment and apprenticeships meaningful work experience placements while they complete their studies.

It is increasingly focused on developing deeper links in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, digital technologies, creative industries and service-based professional sectors (including business, marketing and finance). These are areas where students' academic and vocational preparation align strongly with employer needs.

The level of partnership it offers allows for bespoke industry relationships.

MV16 has a modern, purpose-built campus in Melton Mowbray.
